Who Is that Boy???

     This wonderful photo depicts Harry Blackstone Sr. performing on the Hill Opera House here in Colon.

The young man in front row second from left is good friend Bill Watson! Harry is gone but Bill is still around...well..not really - he's enjoying the sun in Florida and having some fun on the golf course..... I have to remind him when he calls how cold it is here in Michigan. He just 'chuckles' :)

     Anyway, we thought our viewers would enjoy this classic photograph. Bob Hartman, also now from Florida and ex-Colonite, is in town bringing me all types of photos of Colon and magic! Thanks Bob - We appreciate all of your hard work!

When Thurston Came To Town

My good friend Bill Rauscher has just published a DVD on the life of Howard Thurston called, "When Thurston Came To Town" - See it HERE - Comes complete with book and DVD.  This is a must have if you are a magic history enthusiast.

In the midst of putting together the new magic display at the Colon Historical Museum we ran across this. This is quite a find - Thurston Presents His Oriental Mystery Bured Alive at Ebbets Field in Brooklyn, New York on October 30th - 1927! It's in great shape and will be on display at the museum.
