"Magic That is Simply FAB"

Back To Basics - Over the past six years I have seen plenty of magic come and go - some good and bad. I have purchased imported magic from other wholesalers only to be embarrassed as to it's quality. It has been frustrating trying to carry all types of magic and in the end be disappointed in not only the craftsmanship but the thought that goes into the item. It seems these days there is something "new" coming out every day - unfortunately a good deal of it is not worth consideration.
I made a pledge to my customers that I would carry only the finest magic tricks, books and DVD's on the market and manufacturing standards would have to meet our strict guidelines. I take great pride in our product line, which by the way has grown to over 75 products. We take care in producing quality magic like our best selling Breakaway Fan you see pictured. We don't see that same care and passion in many items we are listing from other manufacturers - especially those from overseas. So, effective immediately we are removing all of the items on our site that are even the slightest bit questionable. You will see our list of items decrease initially and we will only add items that meet our standards. We can and will order specialty items for you - anything you want - we can order.
We have decided to expand our manufacturing capabilities here at FAB and grow that end of our business to produce the very finest magic in the world, bar none - at an affordable price to our customers. We are currently looking at a separate building to house new equipment. I feel strongly that the market for good, usable, commercial, well made magic is upon us. Orders for our product line has increased to the point where back orders are now over a month backlogged on some items. Also, our retail store is about to go through a redesign which will make it an exciting place to visit.
Within the next few months FAB Magic will be announcing new and exciting products that you will be proud to own and perform. ALL of our magic is made here in the USA - 99% of it here in our hometown. I would like to hear your comments and ideas. It is because of you, the customer, that we will become a world class manufacturer of magic tricks. You can email me at sales@fabmagic.com

Hi, this is Lilly, Grandpa & Grandma (and Riley) are all busy in the back packaging up stuff for customers. I am not quite old enough to help but I have fun around the shop. Grandpa is always showing me a new trick - guess he is trying to groom me as new demonstrator since Uncle Cory is off to the Navy. We have some exciting news about the shop coming within the next few weeks so stay tuned. It is still cold out and here in Colon we have about a foot of snow. I like making snow angels and then following up with a warm glass of milk. Spring will be here before you know it and it will be time to get out my bathing suit - oh oh - gotta go - I think Riley is stuck in one of the boxes ! See ya soon! Lilly

We were indeed fortunate to host a special guest this week. Linda Abbott Huff, youngest daughter of Percy Abbott, paid us a visit this week to go over details of FAB's upcoming book, "Percy Abbott: Magical Years". A most gracious lady who shared many stories and experiences of growing up with this magical legend who just happens to be her dad. Here are some preview sneak pictures that have never been seen. Please, no copying or reproducing with first written permission. Enjoy!

Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrr......even with a coat of rabbit fur it's cold!

Well Rick has put his long johns on and awaiting spring. It has been a cold start to the winter here in Michigan and we have only just begun! Spring is only three months away so let's just hope it arrives sooner than later. The shop has been crazy! New products are on the horizon and I can't get Rick to take a break and smell the ...uh...well...snow mounds? We are all gearing up for a big Magic Week in August and it appears this year will be bigger than we anticipated so stay tuned for more details.
Our Colon Community Park is coming along and we hope to post photos of the progress within the next few weeks. It will provide the village a wonderful place to hold all types of outdoor activities. A pavilion, amphitheater, tennis courts and more all overlooking beautiful Sturgeon Lake. I can't wait to hop on down and check things out!
Who would have thought six years ago that FAB Magic would have grown into a 7,000 square foot facility? Stay tuned we will give you an up close look at our manufacturing and tool shop located directly under the retail store. While you are browsing the the new 'wonders' upstairs we have craftspeople 'down under' working in the wood shop, plastic shop, sewing department and print shop making new magic for all of you. All of our employees - they are more like family - take pride in their work. They don't rush things - taking their time to provide you with the best products on the market. Perhaps that is why FAB Magic products are quickly becoming the standard which all other magic is being measured. Rick isn't a task master but he is a perfectionist and if a trick doesn't work correctly---it either gets re-worked or tossed out. He simply won't tolerate poor quality. But, that is the way everyone thinks here - they are proud of what they do and it shows. All of our products are made right here in Colon - MADE IN THE USA - is a tradition we will continue here and we will not bow to the cheap labor and materials that have flooded our market. A promise that will be kept.
Well, enjoy the new year! I'll be back next week with some great pics of the studios - see how magic is made! Til then.......Hoppy Holidays!
